a lot of the time i forget it's capitalized with a capital i and a capital w and a little tm next to it and i get caught up thinking about weird and unhinged web art and then i remember that thats not the brand, not the vibe, not what the elitists want, especially because i didn't support webmentions, so i guess i don't belong and i just feel bad about trying to be part or fitting in.
telling me that the .well-known folder is a bad idea in response to a silly joke is the same energy as the politicians in my state responding to trans people existing by making being trans a felony because it's "identity fraud". i just want to be left alone and so do trans people. but someone else with more privilege and authority has decided that their opinion is the correct one so it doesn't matter what i think.
